At Grange Lea, we believe it is so important to organise social activities which enable residents to continue doing what they enjoy; thus enabling residents to lead as full and meaningful a life as possible.

We make an effort to understand residents’ preferences and organise social activities based on these preferences. All activities are reviewed and updated following feedback from our regular resident meetings.  

Current activities range from games nights, movie nights and exercise classes to flower arranging, arts and crafts sessions and a wide range of singers and performers. Please see our blog to view the most recent social calendar. 

In addition to our extensive care home activities, Grange Lea also plays a key role in the Ponteland community. We host church services every month, attend afternoon tea at the Church every Monday and sing in a local choir every Thursday. School children from the local primary school also attend regularly during term time. We also proudly sponsor Ponteland Golf Club.

We are continually looking to build further links with the local community.
